I got out of bed today and because I sleep shirtless, my mum literally screamed:
"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BACK?!?!?!"
Because she got an explanation, I thought the rest of you should too.
I was playing pool in Potblack (which i won ^_^) in Northbridge till the early hours of Thursday morning. There is nothing wrong with that. But there is something wrong if your sitting outside on the ledge loitering dressed all in black and/or white. Its the loitering part. No Traditional Asian loiters.
Lucky for me, I got into a fight with these Azn Gangstaaa's as I was paying. A few heated words were exchanged and they broke a pool stick over me. I managed to dodge the machete/knife that was coming at me from the side sufficiently so that it only got me in the lower part of my back.
It wasn't enough for the hospital *phew*
It ended with the two guys on the floor with a broken set of arms and possibly the other with a broken jaw screaming. A statement from the police later and a "self-defense" plee alongside reasonable force (they had weapons) and I got off with a warning.
Learning martial arts is a good thing.
I took some pictures:
[This mega welt was from the pool stick breaking on me. Strong mind able bodied spine. And the scars were probally splinters or whatever. Oh you can't see it very well here but it was pretty painful]Well...that's not exactly what happened. And by exactly, I mean it's not what happened at all.
As you all know I've been training alot and I've subsequently had to do alot of rolling on the ground. Not like rolling in bed. But like head tucked into chin, hand to ground, shoulder through, push through and spring forward/back. Yes...those types of roll.
As for the pictures;
The slight "graze" I've carried since I was around 6 when i went to Vietnam with my mum and Phil. We went to this ancient temple and there were two sides of the playground (why do temples have playgrounds? don't ask). Mum said to stay away from the further side and because we were 6 and 9 respectively, curiosity got the better of us.
Long story short: Phil pushed a swing into my back and it almost cut me in two. Now you all know why I've had such a traumatised childhood.
The welt is obviosuly from the rolling.
As for the other scratches, I'm as lost as you are.
But what I learnt from 300 (along with my hopeless acknowledgement of my un-Spartan body), is that the truth should never get in the way of a good story ^_^
I suspect that the 10 000th visitor will be reading this entry. Print screen it if you want to claim your prize. Last time I had a few issues with multiple winners and so it's whoever has the earliest time. Oh and it might not appear...so yeah...creativity works
