Yesterday's Update Today

Techincally its Friday, so missed Thursday's update but i'll pretend today is still Thursday. Comprehend?

Today marks a very important day...its Sam's Birthday!! He turns 21 on this terrific day and I wish him the best. Unfortuneatly his got exams and could not celebrate like how Sean celebrated his 21st. Being the great fella i am (shameless...I know), i convinced him to go down to the Tav and have a drink to celebrate. It took me 15 minutes to convince the fella to have a drink on his bday. 21 mate-o...

At 11ish when the Tav opened we headed over from the reid (cheers Lisa for prisonbreak). A jug by himself got slashed to a jug between us which got further hacked down to a bottle each. Still it was 6.5% and it went staright to my head. I was feeling very light headed after ONE. Such a cadbury now...the Glory Days are over.

Well because I met Sam through through Kathleen i asked her to come down. Ho-ho-ho...guess who decides to rock up along with Kath? Nissa and Shirlz are cool and so is Liz (Rachael Somers friend) but hiding behind them all and needing to catch a glimpse of me was....Lyn-lee -_-" Then she claimed something ridiculous that i had been waiting for her. See...this is proof to all you Lyn-lee suporters; SHE'S stalking ME.

Whats more is when i went into the ref later on to chat to Simz and James, Nissa and her gang was there behind them....with Lyn-lee. Per-lease. She is dellusional, she came up to us and tried to convince James and Simz i was the stalker...they were unconvinced.

Classes rolled around and then i hung with Andy. We had handstand competition with Russel and Yoshi. Yoshi won by the slimmest of margins. Probably cheated. Stacked it bad around 430 when i was being stupid with Andy and the other MSU guys when we were leaping for tree branches. I thought i had hurt something but it feels fine now.

Missed my bus and it finally arrived at 6:28pm. Got home soooooo late. On the plus side WCE gave the Saints a taste of the season to come. We owned them. Which also means i'm 1/1 this round in the Yaolin Tipping.

We are all in this together

It was Ben Lee's song on the radio this morning. Stuck in my head all day, it must of counted for something.

Anyways...it was a mega day for me even though i didn't start until 11. I had a meeting to discuss the upcoming Leisure Rivercruise. The theme? I think Pirates and Princesses sounds good. Though i'm not terribly fussed. Slowly i withdraw my involvement ^_^

The meeting was followed by coffee with Liru in the morning which saw me finally fill my card! Yay! I'm surprised because it took me two weeks to do it. It was especially good coffee because "My Coffee Girl" made it. Oh!! And they knew my name! eeek! What now...? I better ask for theirs so i'm not rude when they say: "Good Morning Alan" and i reply: "Good Morning...!"

I studied all morning and watched a bit of Joga TV. So good...i can't believe how in love with soccer i am at the moment. Its absurd! It was off to EBS at 11 when i signed on Daniel Schepis (the Italian Stallion -_-" ) to MSU Soccer. Very happy. I think i almost have a full team. Now to finance it...anyone wanna sponsor me?

I had lunch with Lisa at the Tav. It wasn't THAT unhealthy. I didn't even drink a beer! See what a good boy i am now? Not many people in the Tav either. We bumped into Eugene on the way into the Ref were we sat around and chatted for a bit. Eugene said some pretty funny stuff which i'll keep to myself. Hehehehehe...i promised i wouldn't post it. But this quote was gold:

Eugene: "You speak Cantonese to Greek people?"

Your so funny mate-o.

Off to MA where Eugene fell asleep. Relatively quiet arvo but i was feeling really drained by the time i met up with Lisa (again) at 4ish. The bus ride from the Busport home made me really drowzy.

I wasn't feeling so drowzy when Mum came home! She's been down in Albany with uncles and aunts and it's good to have her back. I can barely cook and the lamb i had for dinner was divine. Geeze...i better learn to cook. Mum also brought back a few bottles of wine. Mum suggested we try some but because she doesn't really drink it would be up to me and Phill to finish it. Phillip's answer to my mum and me:

Phillip: "Two of us can't finish a bottle by ourselves. We'll get pissed!"

Ahhhh...not as good as Eugene but worth a mention. Eugene...you make me laugh so hard. Lisa is my wittness. She heard everything!

Feeling 85.3158%

Quick post as I'm super busy atm.

I'll just highlight the main points.

Shoes felt terrific today, fit so well. I can already sense the strong spiritual bond. Amazing feeling really.

Fresher elections were good, they look like a bunch with good potential. I had a few drinks which made me a bit dizzy which was surprised me. These freshers better do stuff and step up because i'm gonna start slacking off ^_^. Eeeeeeek! Budgets are due by the end of this month and i haven't even started! Micky! I need those recipts ASAP!

Felt sick and tired on the way home. Fell asleep on the way home and almost missed my stop. The nap made me feel alot better. Nap time was between 3pm - 8pm. I missed a bunch of phone calls and messages. Apologies. But i probaly would of been bad company coz i felt sick and all.

Oh!! And quote of the day was from Caroline: "See what a lovely caring sis i am?", i laughed a solid five minutes when she said that.

Anyway! Study to do, budgets to write and tricks to play.

Flip-flops to Rivers

I detest Mondays; I have a chronic case of Mondayitis that happens weekly on a Monday morning. I loathe waking up from my warm bed to pack my next 5 hours with classes and tutorials. Sure…I enjoy catching up with all my friends about their weekends (which so happened to be better then mine) but I rather wake up at a more sensible hour of 10am.

Woke up super early today because Phill had a meeting/conference in Osborne Park at 7:45am. So I got a ride to Stirling train-o and then it was off into the city! The trains were packed; granted everyone had work and all but I couldn’t move an inch. Everyone was wearing sunnies and looking down at their shiny Doc Martins. It was as if no one dared to make eye contact with anyone else. Ahhh…the world of the Rat-Race.

Boringly I plodded through the day doing the usual routine of classes. Getting stuck into a routine is not good for me; I love the spontaneous life. The spur of the moment is a mega rush. I feel like I’m losing the creative side of me…ebbing away as ennui sets in.

Anyways…the EBS test was quite difficult, especially the final question. I’m sure I got it wrong but it was worth only 3 marks (out of 10). I think I should have passed. Eugene laughed at my hair…again. He didn’t realize it’s been red for a loooong time now. Hey Eugene, can you say “oblivious”? ^_^ Well, I’m beginning to like may hair that tiny bit more every day (as in the tiny bit that grows).

The last laugh was on Eugene who didn’t finish his gravy n’ chips sooooooo it came to me! Because Nissa, Kathleen and Casey (???) didn’t want them either it went all to me. Cheers mate-o you barely touched it. Combined with wedges and sour cream it was a good lunch.

Finally my day came to a close at 3ish. I was down at the Ref and with Nissa and Darren waiting around for Tokens. When they left disaster struck! My flip-flops broke! That’s two pairs in less then a week. It was a perfect break at the worst possible time. As you can see below it was as if someone had sabotaged my beloved Body-Glove flip-flops (by the way who calls them thongs?). I walked all the way to the bus barefooted getting weird looks.

Then from the Esplanade bus port to this arcade on St. Georges Terrace. It was here were I got disapproving looks, lotsa white-collared schmoes (I’ll probably be one too…but not today) glancing at my feet and pointing their noses in the air. Happily I kept going and as I walked past the Rivers store a pair of shoes caught my eyes! A size 10½ white pair that said: “Alan…were meant to be. Together…forever…shoe and foot…one” hehehehe

Lured in by the thought of a new pair, I tried them on. Spectacular! They fit! And they were $49.95 (a bargain considering they had been marked down from $90…nah probably still got ripped). They better last. I’m going to put them through hell and back. I paid for them and wore them out of the store.

Off home in my new Rivers I ended on a happier note. New shoes!!

TC Club and Lion dance

It's been a week since i started blogging!! Have you guys/girls enjoyed my exploits? My escapades (waaaaay tame compared to my golden year of 2005)? My cutting witty remarks? My oh-so-highs and groaning-lows? *guffaw* *guffaw*

I'm finally getting over my haircut, mainly due to the return of Sifu and bringing back some new toys for the school. Including a skeleton of a lion head (sorta hard to explain), but it was really cool and i could already feel a spiritual bond to it. Just joking. But it was waaaay cool. And the new lions are so cool.

At training tonight i didn't push myself too hard, coming out of a leg injury and all. The lion dance was quite rough, i forgot alot of it but its all still there. Because i'll be training so hard, make sure you guys/girls all come down to the supreme court gardens on 8th of April to see me perform. Moral supports goes a long way and the lions bring lotsa good luck ^_^

Also we discussed the TC coregroup and other goals for the newest social club in perth. Very soon we will be up and running. April we hold our first meeting ever. Don't let it fall flat Trev. Your history of arriving late and horrid jokes must be toned down for this to succee. Hehehehe ^_^

Anyway, big day at uni tomorrow. Mondays and all, especially with an EBS test. And also to Janaka good luck with the new baby, i know its a baby girl and all and we only just met (a month now), but i think Alan is a really cool name for her! Hehehehehe.

The Joys of Working

I worked from 9 - 5 today doing heavy lifting and chatting to customers at Kakulas. They haven't let me touch the forklift for months now. It sucks. On the plus side i'll be working there every saturday from now on from 10 - 4. No clean up!!

The upside was that they gave me FIVE rolls (filled with olives, cheese, salami, fetta, tomatoes etc etc) valued at $6.50 each. They are super filling. That's a huge lunch. I ate two for lunch, took four home (gave the vego ones to Penny and Phillip) and i've just finished the last one. It was sure nice of them. Technically i earned a bonus $32.50, thats like two hours of work!! YEOW!

I've decided to take piccies of my new "cute"- Siobahn McCarthy (anyone remember Mr. McCarthy back in HS? Its his daughter). I want tuff (the Outsiders) not cute. Here they are:

As you can see it's becoming mohawkish. Very dangerous direction its going in, possibly it could turn like Asian Metro Guy's (hereby known as AMG). The length is unbelievable. STILL spewing.

The red circle highlights my frustration and anger expressed through my frowned eyebrows and highly stressed skin (doesn't look too natural...prolly coz i ran out of moisteriser last week...per-lease. Sarcasm if you didn't pick it up) You can also see in this piccie that the hairdresser didn't completely destroy my hair and its noble history, remants of my beautiful long red hair still live on in the slight reddish tinge. Its looks brown. I know.

My leg still tingles with pain, hopefully tomorrow it will be better so i can dance the night away. Lion/Dragon dancing that is. I gotta go buy some new shoes, any suggestions? Neo thinks LaCoste would be nice. I didn't even know they made them -_-" his got a blog too over on MSN, i can't quite find the website atm. Lots and lots of pictures of...him.

Sleepsville *yawn*

*sigh* Uni is so lifeless on a friday. Sure heaps of people around but it just feels sooo sleepy. I feel lethargic on fridaze.

Well i handed in my Asian Business assignment today, raking in 1224 words without references, quite happy with it although the Bibliography was a bit hard at the end. Comepletly forgotten how to reference stuff.

Anyway...it was of to Broadway with Jase were we ate pizza (meatball galore i think). We bumped in Ryan who was raving on about Sophie. Like i tried to change the subject but he just wouldn't let me..."sophie...sophie...sophie" Only joking ^_^ (though it was funny seeing Andy try set her up with Ryan on Wednesday night). I never knew that Dewsons made fresh rolls.

Then it was back to the Ref to get my coffee. Which was made by "Usual coffee girl", it tasted so much better then the other day.

And I almost forgot! Thanks to Lyn-lee for reminding me. While i had my coffee Lyn-lee and her crew of friends (Rachael's Somers friend, Guy eating nacho's and Guy eating fish n' chips...i forgot their names) all had luncheon. I was super excited that i could be in the presence of Lyn-lee. So close to her at lunch. I think she's the only Asian girl in UWA who eats chinese food at the ref...i felt flustered and dizzy at the time. You know that happy glow you get, the warm fuzzy thing that seems to bubble and then *PoP*...

Per-lease

She cut sick at me for replying to an SMS a little late. Is that such a crime? At least i called. So maybe it was 45 minutes. 45 minutes is nothing, its like 0.00010702% of your life.

Then it was back to the reid to do some more studying. I think Lyn-lee and her crew went upstairs but i went to chat with Sam and David. I have big plans for them. They can be my doctors, both of them can't be wrong. Sorry Alarick and Zoe and Herbie i hear you guys come late to lectures.

Alarick: "I missed the beginning of the lecture so i don't know what to do."

I dont want to be hearing that. Ever.

The two guys sitting next to me were creeping me out. They kept looking at me i think their conversation went like this:

Creep 1: "Isn't that Alan Chung lah? The Leisure treasurer lah?"
Creep 2: "I thought he had longer hair. Wasn't it red too? He has tuff hair. This guy has short hair. Plus his not wearing his legendary Seiko Watch...it can't be...lah"
Creep 1: "Mmmm...i guess so lah. Such tuff hair...i wish i didn't have an Asian metro haircut lah"

Prolly not but I head them mumble "lah" alot. But i'm missing the long hair already. All my strength is gone. Worse still...everyone agrees that it won't grow back like before. The wings! The wings!

This entry was so boring. Nothing happened today. I wont even be heading off to training because my left leg is injured. The hamstring is hurting and so is my knee. Those flips are looking further away.

I'm off into the city to go look for some new shoes. Ones that can survive the rigors of my lifestyle. Converse sound nice...but i think Asics would be better. I miss them already.

From A-la-la-la-n

PS: Looking for a few more members to join my team in soccer. Alarick stole George who i had asked first. Alarick what hell man!?!? Cheater. I know you put down the 3. I know you read this too. So any takers...?

Cheaters and broken shoes.

trI’m sad to tell you guys all that I’ll be closing down the World of Alan. It’s been a good four days and I’ll miss it dearly but I just think its not working with me. It was so much grief with formatting that I was about to shoot something. This will be the last entry on the World of Alan.

In other news, I’ll be moving to a new spot on http://a-la-la-la-n.blogspot.com which I hear is a lot easier to use. No more formatting problems and more pictures/videos. It will also be the first entry on the new World of Alan. So if you’ve saved this to your Favorites (I know heaps of you who did), then the new scenes in the World of Alan will be shot at http://a-la-la-la-n.blogspot.com

Under enormous pressure from everyone to cut my hair I finally conformed and got the mane cut. Short. Horribly short. I feel so naked and vulnerable. I am regretting it so much. I got so much flak from so many people. It’s not my fault the hairdresser cut it so short. I said shorter, not like super short. I’m tempted to just go bald. Phil and Penny gave me so much flak at home. I’m crying myself to bed tonight T_T

What’s worse is I bumped into Asian Metro Guy too. Here is how the conversation went:
Alan: “Hey Asian Metro Guy, your eye looks better”
Asian Metro Guy: “Yeh…but your hair is pretty rooted.”
Alan: “Yeh well…I can’t win everything”
Asian Metro Guy: “That’s right Alan, you can’t win everything! I win!”
Guess Asian Metro Guy won that round. You know who you are…

My shoes finally collapsed on me after 3 years of dutiful service. It took down my right sock as well. So with the Asics gone I’m pretty much left shoeless. Here are some piccies of the faithful duo who got me through countless nights and days:

(thanks zoe)

We were playing cards at the ref today when Alarick accused me of being a cheater! To my face! He claimed that I put down three cards. What hell…I couldn’t believe him. I reckon it was him! Sure it might have been below my double 8, but he was the one who spotted it out. He set me up. He set me up good.

I was doing flips outside the reid today on that plus lawn. I think i injured my leg...bad karma! Sorry kath!

Otherwise today was quite droll.
